Gunners Van Persie Wants More Cash

Hot on the heels of Emmanuel Adebayor’s new double-your money contract fellow Arsenal striker Robin Van Persie also wants to re-open talks about a new deal at the Emirates.
Togo frontman Adebayor is believed to have seen his weekly pay packet rocket to a reported £80,000-a-week following a summer of speculation linking him with a move to either AC Milan or Barcelona.
And it now seems his Dutch strike partner would like some pay parity, and is angling to open negotiations with the Gunners board.
The 25-year-old is however yet to fully prove himself in London following a string of injuries over the last two years, although manager Arsene Wenger will clearly want to hold onto his services.
“I was in talks before the Euros but, hopefully, we can sit down together one of these days again,” Vane Persie told the Sun.
“That is my intention — always to commit to the club. I love this club, it is a great team.
“Like me, I love to play lots of combination football, so I am in the right place.”

He is much better than Ade,but unfortunately he was nearly all the season out with injuries.
So I thing he must wait at least till the first three months to open negotiations for a better pay,and if he is injury free till that time I agree he will be paid at least as much Ade

He has to wait at least a year before talking about a pay rise. as much as he is talented but he has never added value to the team. Never ever has he contributed in any crucial games. yeah maybe he scores some blinders against the likes of charlton or spurs…So what?????,,he should show consistency and value before any talk of new contract talk…Arsenal should stop carrying players on basis of potential… we have been hearing about his potential for more then 4 to 5 years masked by occasional brilliance against mediocre teams….when will Arsenal fans start realising that the team is always bigger than any of its players or managers!!!
