Spurs boss Juande Ramos could make a January transfer swoop for German striker Lukas Podolski according to media reports.

The Spanish coach, who knows after the departures of Dimitar Berbatov and Robbie Keane this summer that he is still lacking in the striker department and could look to swoop for the out of favour Bayern Munich hitman.

Bayern coach Jurgen Klinsmann certainly appears willing to off-load the German international.

“He cannot be satisfied being a substitute,” said Klinsmann.

It is thought that Ramos would have to pay in the region of £14million if he wants to pair the 23-year-old with new Russian recruit Roman Pavlyuchenko.
