German Keeper On Arsenal’s Radar?
Posted on 16. Oct, 2008 by Milox in Premiership
Arsenal are reportedly battling a host of English clubs for Borussia Dortmund keeper Roman Weidenfeller.
German sources suggest the likes of Manchester City, Middlesbrough, Newcastle, Bolton and West Ham are all vying with the Gunners for the 28-year-old’s services.
Weidenfeller has made over 130 appearances for Dortmund but has yet to be recognised for his country.
He was embroiled in a controversial race row last season and was fined and banned for three matches after allegedly insulting Schalke’s Ghanaian striker Gerald Asamoah.

Meh, I don’t know how true the rumours are, but I can only see one thing in common.
Weidenfeller plays for Dortmund, and Lehmann used to play for Dortmund before coming to Highbury
