QPR have continued their winter spending spree, signing Ghana striker Patrick Agyemang from Preston.

The 27-year-old moves for an undisclosed fee after three years at Deepdale, and has signed a contract until 2012.

Rangers have enjoyed an upturn in fortunes under Italian manager Luigi De Canio and have climbed out of the relegation zone to give themselves an outside chance of reaching the play-offs.

The Loftus Road club are funded by the family of billionaire Lakshmi Mittal along with Formula One magnates Bernie Ecclestone and Flavio Briatore.

Agyemang is their sixth acquisition since the transfer window opened - after Hogan Ephraim, Akos Buzsaky, Matthew Connolly, Gavin Mahon and Kieran Lee - and could play in Saturday's FA Cup encounter with Chelsea.
