Arsenal midfielder Alexander Hleb is expected to take a medical with Barcelona in the next couple days and reports that personal terms have been agreed upon seem to point towards him signing with the Blaugrana next week.

reports that Arsenal recognized that they were not going to be able to hold on to the former VfB Stuttgart play maker and it was just a matter of time before he left the club this summer.

They are also saying that they have the exclusive information tipping Hleb to make an official announcement in the next two days.

Reports in Spain suggest Barcelona will pay 15 million euros (£11.9 million) for his services in a 4 year deal with another 3 million (£2.4 million) if Barcelona were to win the league in the next two years. This after the gunners were supposedly holding out for 20 million euros early on in negotiations.

Initially Arsenal are thought to have held out for 20 million euros when negotiations began in early May.

With Ronaldinho headed away from Camp Nou, Barca are definitely looking to come up with new talent to feed Hleb's former teammate Thierry Henry.
