Tottenham are the takeover target of a ’super rich’ south-east Asia investor, according to reports.

Discussions between the unnamed billionaire and agent Pini Zahavi are said to be at a preliminary phase.

Although Zahavi - who orchestrated Roman Abramovich’s takeover at Chelsea back in 2003 - has not been instructed by the north Londoners, he is convinced that the club would agree to a sale if his talks are successful.

Enic investment Group are the majority owners of Tottenham with more than 80 per cent of the shares.

But there has been talk of a sale recently, which would worth up to £400m.
