Arsenal Thinking About Bringing Back Legend Patrick Vieira

Posted on 02. Sep, 2008 by Milox in Premiership

Sensational rumours are spreading that Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira could be heading back to the north Londoners on a season-long loan deal.

The 32-year-old Frenchman became a Gunners legend during his nine years with the club and fans would certainly welcome the return of their former hero and skipper.

Tongues were set wagging on Saturday that the Inter Milan midfielder could be heading home after being spotted sitting alongside Mikael Silvestre at the Emirates during the Newcastle match.

It seems that the story could be pure speculation, although Arsenal fans are already dreaming about seeing the possible return of Arsene Wenger’s first ever signing for Arsenal.

Wenger paid just £3.5million for the then unknown AC Milan in 1995, before selling him nine years later to Juventus for a reported £13.7million.

I have been telling all my friends about this same thing. I think we might all be shocked at the announcement of Vieira soon. I don’t think Vieira came just to watch the game. You’ll see. You’ll hear it in the next few hours.
I don’t think it’ll be a bad thing as against what some
think

I actualy saw PV in London today at lunchtime in Old Bond St. Was with his family and at the time it struck me that it was strange for him to be here.

I think we all will be shoked then all of us GUNNERS will realise that stubborn wenger won’t bring any midfielders to Emirates. P.S I’m shocked! Man City just signed fooking Robinho.

This is rubbish! I don’t want Paddy back. He had a great time with us and I remember him fondly, but that is all in the past, and it should STAY in the past. Vieira cannot do a job for us anymore - that’s the reason he was sold, THREE YEARS AGO! The man is old, way past it. Sorry Paddy, you were great at the peak of your powers, you were magnificent, but this is 2008 and much has changed.

I don’ care if we don’t buy anyone. We are strong enough already.

AnTOINE roQUENTIN, ur right..but it wud be GREAT to hav him back for one season at least, wont hurt will it..
if his legs dont make up for his status,he’s got a nice big mouth to bark around in midfield and be a leader..and of course get sent off regularly
