Arsenal plan raid for Valencia star Albiol

Arsenal are planning a bid for Valencia defender Raul Albiol.

The Sunday Mirror says Albiol, who is rated in the £10million bracket, can provide the power Arsenal missed in the run-in to their trophy-less campaign.

He fits the Gunners’ blueprint of emerging young players who manager Wenger can develop alongside the likes of Cesc Fabregas and Robin van Persie.
