Arsenal Defender Faces Drunk & Disorderly Charge

Arsenal defender Kerrea Gilbert will be tried for being drunk and disorderly in January after an incident last month.

The 21-year-old, who is spending a season-long loan spell at League One leaders Leicester City, was arrested on September 24 at Humberstone Gate.

The full-back appeared before Leicester magistrates to confirm his name, age, address and entered a not guilty plea and has been released on bail until his trial on January 29.

Gilbert has failed to establish himself in Arsene Wenger’s first-team plans and has been sent out on loan for the past three seasons, first with Cardiff City before a spell with Southend United last season.
