Wenger deserves all the stick that will come to him. He has put all his faith in a sicknote (Diaby) and a under experienced boy (Denilson). Wenger can fail every season and yet has no pressure on him. Wenger is the best manager in the world. Its only unintelligent people that cant see that. Any half decent manager could manage Chelsea and Man U with their budget and be successful. Arsenals only way of competing with Man U and Chelsea is to spend wisely. Wenger is the master of that as he showed last season by spending no money in net terms and still competing for the title (in fact would have won it but for incorrect refereeing decisions at a crucial time against Birm, liverpool, middlesbro and Chelsea).

This season they will compete again. Could have strengthened a bit in central midfield which Wenger tried to do but no point in just buying for the sake of it. Wenger has shown he can solve these situations internally anyway so I wont be surprised if someone emerges as the midfield generaly next to Fabragas. Personally I would play Toure there and let Djourou and Song fight for the central defence partner of Gallas.
