Adebayor Believes Gunners Are Headed For Greatness

Arsenal’s Emmanuel Adebayor believes he can fire the Gunners to glory with the help of strike partner Robin van Persie.
The duo both bagged braces in Tuesday’s 4-0 Champions League hammering of Porto, and Adebayor believes the partnership can only get better.
“We enjoy playing together — Robin’s a very good player,” the Togo striker told the Sun.
“In our heads we have the same ambition, which is to help this team win something.
“We’re trying for a telepathic understanding and against Porto we’ve shown we can do something.
“Hopefully, as we go on we will get to know each other better and learn how each other plays.
“If Robin is fit for the whole season we have a chance to do something special, that’s for sure.”
He added: “We are quite good friends. He’s not like my best friend ever but we go to restaurants.
“We talk off the pitch about the way we play.
“You must discuss what you have done well and what you have done badly.”
