AC Milan Updates Their Position On Kaka And Ronaldinho

AC Milan Vice President Adriano Galliani has confirmed they have received very large bids from Chelsea for Brazilian star Kaka.

Kaka, 26, has always claimed to be fully committed to Milan, but the Blues are testing the water at the San Sirom for the star forward.

“For Kaka, a really big offer has arrived from Chelsea,” Galliani told La Stampa. “However, despite failing to qualify for the Champions League, the club is strengthening the squad and increasing the wages. This means we’ll be [nearly $70] million in the red without owner Silvio Berlusconi’s help.

“The fans should be happy, as all we’d need to do in order to wipe out our debts is sell Kaka and Andrea Pirlo. Instead they won’t move, so if that’s not a show of love for this club, I don’t know what is.”

Galliani also says that Milan are leading the chase for Barcelona superstar Ronaldinho, who is reported to have turned down the chance to join Manchester City. (I think Chelsea may have something to say about this)

“Ronaldinho has rejected the offer of Manchester City despite them offering twice as much as we can,” Galliani added. “He is not in the plans of Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola, so he has a more favorable price.

“But the problem is the wages. For us to be able to afford him the transfer fee would have to be close to nothing.”
