Levante 0:2 Betis 2018- Los Verdiblancos push Granotas closer to the drop

Real Betis became only the second side to win away from home in Round 25 as they beat Levante 2:0 at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia. The win saw the Andalusians leapfrog the likes of Eibar, Girona and Getafe in the league standings and move to seventh, just three below a Europa League spot.

In the ten games played in Round 25, Atleti (away at Sevilla) were the only team to triumph on the road apart from Los Verdiblancos, who won thanks to two second half goals- the first an own goal from Levante’s Chema (55), the other coming from Sergio Leon (69).

With Las Palmas and Deportivo both picking up points over the weekend, Levante are now just one point above the drop zone. The Granotas have now gone three months without a league win, and their only triumph in 2018 came in the Copa against Espanyol.

Betis are at home to Real Sociedad in their next fixture while Levante will be away at Alaves.
