Rangers striker Nikica Jelavic has dismissed rumours linking him to a transfer to newly crowned Premier League champions Manchester United. Jelavic has been in stunning form for Rangers since his switch to Ibrox Park from Rapid Vienna and United were linked in the press with a £13m move for the forward.
Croatian striker Jelavic has netted 19 times for Rangers in the 2010/11 season, including a stunning free kick when Rangers claimed the Scottish title on the last day of the campaign.
This is what Jelavic had to say to the Daily Record regarding a possible transfer.
“Frankly, I do not think about leaving because I am loving it at Rangers.
“Some of the stories about me leaving were simply people getting excited over nothing.
“We actually joked at Rangers about me leaving to go there. I don’t think I need to push myself for sale.”
